Happy Coronam!

14th of Maia – Rosadi

May Madria Vicka; Jana of Strength and Courage, Shield-Maiden of the Ekklesia, be with us and bless us this day!

Hail to Our Lady, Zoë Sophia, who has been crowned Queen of Heaven! She, who with the utmost bravery and pure of heart, descended to the depths of darkness and bore the sufferings of eternity, for the salvation of all Maids! She who redeemed Her fallen sister, Achamoth, and made Her one again with Her! She who was raised up by the love of Our Mother, Blessed is She!

The weather in my country has been going through a crazy ride of late. We had fierce snowstorms in mid-March, scorching heatwaves in mid-April, followed by cold wind and rain to close out the secular month. But today, glory be, we awoke to a clear blue sky and the mild warmth of the sun. How fitting that today, as Our Lady takes up the celestial throne, that it finally beings to feel like Spring at last.

This morning I practically leapt out of bed, quickly washed, and knelt at my altar to light a candle before my statue of the Daughter and praise Her. I feel so blessed to feel Her radiance and know that, as She is always descending and ascending to gather up all souls to the Pleroma, so too will I continue to rise up out of the internal struggles of the Archons, so long as I remember that She is with me. She is the Sword of Peace, Truth and Justice. She is the fierce Mother Lioness, protecting Her cubs from all who would threaten to harm us. She is our beacon in the dense fog of kear (the illusion of separation from Her). She calls all of us to Her and She stands ready to embrace us like little children. While we call Her the ‘Daughter’, in truth She is a Mother to us as well, just as the Bright Mother and the Dark Mother of the Trinity. A dear sister in the faith once referred to her as ‘Little Light Mother’, which I think is so fitting and adorable.

This morning on my walk I listened to the chapter in the Mythos of Our Lady’s coronation and the following verses stirred my soul most of all.

And She gathered them together and taught them many things, saying: “You have gained knowledge of the world, but I say, be not wise with the wisdom of the world, nor proud with the pride of the world, nor troubled with the dignity of the world, neither lose yourself in any of the ways and fashions of the world, but come to Me as little children in the pure simplicity of your hearts and the virgin innocence of your souls; for truly, all of you are children in the eyes of your Mother, and I shall receive all who come as Her children. Come to Me and all faults shall be forgiven.” And She showed them how to offer sacrifice to the Mother of All Things.

And She said, “When the time has come for Me to go from you, I shall still be with You and shall never leave you, not for one fragment of an hour until we are together in completion. But I shall unite you all who love Me in one great body; the highest and the lowest, the living and the dead, those who falter at the door, and those who have climbed to the highest tower, all shall be one in My body which I have given to the world, and all shall be nourished by My Spirit.”

-Mythos of the Divine Maid, Ch. 7, v. 4-7 (NCVU)

Our Beloved Sovereign often feels far from us, but we need only remember Her promise that there is no where to which ‘Her joyous rule doth not extend’ (M 9:21) . She offers redemption to All and makes no exception. All are equal in Her eyes. While in Ancient Times it is said that ‘Queen of Heaven’ was referring only to goddesses of the sky, Our Lady is not seated in a castle far above us. Her palace is every Maid’s hearth that makes a home for Her, whether that be in the form of a shrine dedicated to Her image or a well-tended garden, or even just the pure imagination of a young child that seeks to know Her. We can always turn to Her and She will help guide us in the ways of the Logos, the Word and Law (Thamë of Déa).

Seek Her in religious scripture, or philosophy, or in songs or fairy tales. Seek Her in the beauty of the world around you. Seek Her within your own heart and make a temple for Her there. Remember that the Seven Holy Aeons are each a ray of Her virtues – so try to walk each day in harmony with Them. If you have an image of Her present, crown it with flowers or jewellery this day.

Hail to the Queen of Heaven and the High Queen Mother!

Hail to the Empress of the Shimmering Darkness!

Blessed is Déa, Sophia, now and Forever!

Blessed is She!
